We recently took our Nissan Pathfinder to Vladivostok in Russia and drove through 16 countries to London. There were ten vehicles in total. Us and nine Toyotas.
An additive called mikestyreshield was put into our tyres to stop flats. The roads in Mongolia were everything but sealed, and the Stan countries are best described as a series of potholes some you drive into and out of. All held together with a shoelace of tarseal.
Many flat tyres were dealt with along the journey, but none on the Pathfinder. In fact we used the leftover solution to put into other tyres from time to time, some holes were plugged but just wouldn't seal until we added mikestyreshield, and to everyone's surprise (except mine) the air stayed in. One flat in particular, we didn't even take it off the vehicle. Just jacked up the 4*4 put shield in, then turned the wheel around slowly. Lowered jack and drove another 10,000 kms.
We were totally off tarmac type of surface for thousands of kilometers, over sand, dirt and sharp gravel, to the degree that had become the normal.
Having it in our tyres for 23,000 kms across 16 countries I would thoroughly recommend the product.
